I have been part of the Ingersoll Consult Group since it's inception and I am currently its co-facilitator. For over 5 years I have been privileged to provide counseling to trans* individuals in all stages of transition, including genderqueer individuals who choose not to transition; I've also worked with couples where one partner is transitioning, and individually with partners of those in transition. While I have worked with clients across the gender spectrum, gender does not have to be the focus of our work. I welcome clients facing any of life's struggles: depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and interpersonal challenges, and difficulties in work or academic life. I also work across the age spectrum, from young adults (18 and over) to older adults (over 60), and I'm sensitive to the unique needs of trans* older adults. Prior and concurrent to my work as a psychotherapist, I have worked with many trans* individuals and groups in social justice, advocacy, and social service capacities.
I use the ICATH model, and follow WPATH standards of care when necessary, based on what the client's preference is. I do write recommendation letters.
